This tree house, he jumped it up before I was even in the picture. He's always talking about what this place is going to be, what it's all going to look like. Meanwhile, I am just trying to survive the day. He thinks in years, I think in minutes. That makes our decision-making fun. I'm not saying either one of us is wrong, but he's wrong. But here we are three years later and I can say the dream-taking shape. The Lord didn't just change my world. He over-delivered. How many times do I have to do this? That is a take. Yes, I know. I know my method is questionable, but it works. Once I was a nomad, now I'm a wife and I'm planning on chickens in a garden. Now do I know how to do any of those things? No. The Lord gave me a husband is basically Google. I may not see how this all fits into God's greater plan, but I do trust the one who does. ## Caption / Post Text What would you do with 100 acres of land? #treehouse #wife #country #jesus #christian #diy ## Key Claims - Why does my husband have the next 10 years of our lives planned out and I don't even know what the heck we're having for dinner? Jung's central argument is that modern people have lost contact with the unconscious — the deep psychic strata that connect the individual to archetypal patterns, collective wisdom, and meaning — and that this loss produces the neurosis, emptiness, and spiritual hunger characteristic of modern life. The book argues that psychological health requires integrating the unconscious, not suppressing it. ## Key Claims - **The collective unconscious:** Beneath the personal unconscious lies a deeper layer shared by all humanity — a repository of archetypal patterns (the hero, the shadow, the anima/animus, the wise old man) that shape experience, dream life, and behavior across cultures. - **The loss of the sacred as psychological crisis:** Modern secularism has not eliminated the religious instinct but displaced it — the psychological need for transcendence, ritual, and meaning persists, and when it is not consciously addressed, it manifests as neurosis, addiction, or ideological possession. - **Dreams as compensatory:** Dreams are not random noise but the unconscious's attempt to restore psychological balance, compensating for the one-sidedness of conscious attitudes — the psyche is self-regulating if attended to. - **Individuation as the goal of life:** The fundamental task of psychological development is individuation — the integration of conscious and unconscious, the acceptance of the shadow, and the becoming of a whole person rather than a fragment. - **Psychological types:** Jung's distinction between introversion/extraversion and thinking/feeling/sensation/intuition provides a map of individual differences that explains why people perceive the same reality differently and why one-size-fits-all approaches fail. ## Notable Quotes > "Modern man has lost his soul, and the neuroses of our time are the symptoms of that loss." > "The dream is the small hidden door in the deepest and most intimate sanctum of the soul." > "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." > "The individuation process is the psychological development that leads to the becoming of a whole person." > "Every psychic advance arises from the necessity of overcoming a one-sidedness." --- ## Topics & Tags **Stance:** provokes --- ## Relevance to thesis Modern Man in Search of a Soul is the clinical and theoretical foundation for the [[Concept - Inherited Financial Code]] framework — Jung's archetypes are the deep structure of the inherited code, the patterns that shape behavior below conscious awareness. The book's diagnosis of the loss of the sacred as the source of modern psychological crisis maps onto [[Concept - Lost Maintainers]] — the institutions that connected individuals to archetypal patterns (religion, ritual, tradition) were dismantled without replacement, producing the psychological emptiness that manifests as economic dysfunction. Jung's emphasis on individuation speaks to [[Concept - Personal Agency]] — true agency requires integration of the unconscious, not just rational decision-making. ## Connections ### Related Concepts - [[Concept - Inherited Financial Code]] — Jung's archetypes are the deep structure of inherited behavioral code - [[Concept - Lost Maintainers]] — the loss of sacred institutions produces the psychological crisis Jung diagnoses - [[Concept - Personal Agency]] — individuation (integration of unconscious) is the psychological foundation of agency - [[Concept - New Malware]] — ideological possession is what Jung would call a failure to integrate the shadow - [[Caribbean Wealth Attitudes - Four Forces Theory]] — the thesis's attention to cultural inheritance as a wealth factor draws on Jungian depth psychology ### Related Sources - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[Peterson - Maps of Meaning The Architecture of Belief]] — Peterson's magnum opus is substantially built on Jung's framework; Maps of Meaning operationalizes Jung's insights for a contemporary audience - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[Peterson rec - The Origins and History of Consciousness - Erich Neumann]] — Neum

You're never going to feel like safe around them and you're not going to want to be there for them as much when they're being a burden as well. Just become these two people dividing and conquering all your problems, rather than taking on the world together. ## Caption / Post Text This one really landed for me. 🙏 The truth is, none of us are perfect all the time. Sometimes we’re messy, overwhelmed, or just not our best selves. If you don’t feel safe to bring that version of you into a relationship—whether it’s romantic, friendship, or even a business partnership—then what’s left is a performance, not a connection. True partnership means knowing you don’t have to carry it all alone. It’s having someone who doesn’t flinch when life gets heavy. It’s about showing up for each other—messy moments and all—and tackling the world together, not apart. The best relationships aren’t about perfection. They’re about safety, trust, and the willingness to hold space for each other’s burdens.🤍 🎥: @chriswillx 🗣️: @cbum ## Key Claims - Find someone who you just feel safe being a burden to. - Not going to potentially be a burden, but if you, it's sometimes you suck, you know, sometimes you're a burden. - And if you don't even feel safe being like that around your partner, you have to just withhold things from them and put on that show. - You're never going to feel like safe around them and you're not going to want to be there for them as much when they're being a burden as well. - Just become these two people dividing and conquering all your problems, rather than taking on the world together. ## Topic Application - **wealth**: Business/finance - **philosophy**: Philosophy - **mindset**: Mindset/psychology - **culture**: Culture ## Caveats ## Related Sources (Idea-to-Idea) - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[Unconditional Love]] — both about the conditions for genuine love: dd0cr6ztc3s says partnership requires being safe enough to be a burden, dc6x9zcoz2k says unconditional love requires empathy without judgment — both reject performative relationships. - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[A woman who truly loves you does more than listen she believes]] — both about partnership as a force multiplier: dd0cr6ztc3s says the right partner lets you be a burden without performance, dmiwvlbx-wc says the right partner amplifies your vision — both about safety and trust as the foundation for growth. - **[PARTIALLY CONTRADICTS]** [[Father Josiah Trenham ''It isn't good for you to have multiple bed partners]] — dd0cr6ztc3s argues the best relationships embrace imperfection and mess; Father Josiah argues relationships require strict conditions and sexual restraint — tension about whether love should be unconditional or conditional. - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[Relationships - people love same frequency intellectually emotionally]] — dd0cr6ztc3s says most couples become "two people dividing and conquering" (habit, not love); Proctor distinguishes "being in love" from "being in habit" — both identify the same failure mode in relationships. ## Linkages

A grown man organizes his life around responsibilities, so family, purpose. So when a man like that gives you his time, that means something. Number two, his dignity. He is not going to play about his dignity. He can take a joke. You can even tease him a little bit, but humiliating him, correcting that man in front of people, talking down to him publicly, non-negotiable. Number three is his peace. And that should be number one, actually. A man of this world spends most of his day dealing with pressure, so the vibe becomes home to absolutely matters. Constant drama, tests, emotional fires to put out those kind of things drain him. Because peace is not boring to a grown man. Peace is necessary. Number four, his effort. When a man is trying, he's showing up, he's fixing problems, he's making plans, taking responsibility, that effort has to be appreciated. Because nothing tells a man to stop trying more than feeling like nothing he does is good enough. Number five is his loyalty. A real man takes loyalty seriously, not just physical loyalty, but emotional loyalty. The way you speak about him, the way you represent the relationship when he's not around. When a man realizes that the person beside him isn't truly in his corner, that man's going to start thinking hard. And when a man gets to thinking hard, it's bend or break. ## Caption / Post Text #relationships #men #women #changeyourmindset #peace ## Key Claims - When you're dealing with a grown man, there are five things that you absolutely cannot play with. - Number one is his time. - A grown man organizes his life around responsibilities, so family, purpose. - So when a man like that gives you his time, that means something. - Number two, his dignity. ## Topic Application - **mindset**: Mindset/psychology ## Caveats ## Related Sources (Idea-to-Idea) - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[Every father owes these 4 things to his kids]] — Both focus on a father’s obligations to his children. - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[A fathers love]] — Both highlight fatherhood as sacrificial love. ## Linkages - [[Concept - Money Scripts]] — money scripts and mindset - [[Concept - Personal Agency]] — personal agency

A woman with an unhilled father wound brings into the relationship a little girl who is still trying to feel safe with a man. And when a man is not grounded in his boundaries and his own self-worth and self-respect, he will slowly lose himself trying to prove that he's enough for her. But because she has this unhilled wound, he never will be. In the relationship, she says she wants leadership, but she punishes him when it shows up. She asks for decisiveness and strength, yet questions or criticizes all of his choices. And over time, he stops stepping forward, not because he can't lead, but because nothing he does feels supported. She undermines him in public, interrupting him, talking over him, correcting all of his words or decisions in front of others. And what looks small on the surface slowly turns into what feels like public humiliation to him. And he starts withdrawing to avoid it. She says she wants a man, but treats him like a boy. Micromanaging, reminding, using a parental tone instead of standing beside him as an equal. And eventually, the dynamic shifts from connection and love to control. And that's when all of the respect starts to erode in the relationship. And then she withholds appreciation and affection while amplifying criticism and coldness. What he does right becomes expected and unnoticed. What he does wrong becomes the focus. And what he comes home to is cold and bitter. She wants him to fight for her. But the way he sees it is that there's nothing left worth fighting for. And nothing he gives is enough anyways. So his motivation completely collapses. And here's the hard truth for us men too. We're the ones that allow her to do this. Because if a man isn't rooted in his own boundaries, in his own self respect and self worth, he'll tolerate this for much longer than he should. And over time, slowly lose himself trying to keep the peace. Stay strong, Kings. ## Caption / Post Text Comment “king” if you been there or are there rn 👑 #kingscommunity #mensmentalhealth #mensmentalhealthawareness #mensmentalhealthmatters #niceguysfinishlast ## Key Claims - **What's something you'll get a lot of hate for if you say it out loud? The message is about taking responsibility for your emotional reactions rather than blaming external triggers. ## Key Claims - **Emotional self-mastery:** Your mind is complicit in being provoked — provocation requires your internal cooperation. - **Stoic responsibility:** You control your reactions, not external events. Being provoked is partly a choice. - **Self-awareness:** Recognizing that your own mind participates in the provocation shifts power back to you. ## Topic Application - **philosophy**: Stoic philosophy — Epictetus quote on emotional self-mastery and personal responsibility for reactions. - **mindset**: Mindset/psychology — taking ownership of emotional responses rather than blaming external triggers. ## Caveats - Audio download failed. It doesn't seem like a guy wanting a true team and partnership, it seems like a guy sitting in a bit of judgement seeing himself as a king in his ambitious kingdom wanting a trophy queen... She doesn't really feature other than being a black future mum who is agreeable and thick in heels. It's a bit demeaning tbh. I do not mind guys having dreams and even very specific ones but this list sounds a lot like 'me, me, me' vibes rather than 'us, us, us.'" - **whoisashleyg:** "'Always workin' is tough because how else am I supposed to pay my bills in this economy???" - **xx3xy3:** "That road rage tho... The list is organized into character/values (kind, graceful, loyal, God-fearing, loves kids, can budget, proactive about his vision) and physical/practical attributes (dark chocolate skin tone, cooking skills, fit, no weave except braids, saving sex for marriage). He references Genesis 24:1-21 (Abraham's servant finding Rebecca) as his biblical framework. The post went viral with the caption expressing distress that his journal was exposed. Comments reveal a polarized debate — some find it humorous, others criticize it as selfish and one-sided ("me, me, me" rather than "us, us, us"), and

The quote speaks to the idea that genuine, dedicated work attracts meaningful connections — even in isolation. The post resonated strongly with 37.8K likes. Comments reflect themes of solitude, dedication to craft, and the hope that authentic effort draws kindred spirits. One commenter notes "Solitude is my religion," while another simply says "Put in the work." ## Key Claims - Authentic, conscientious work is magnetic — it attracts "unknown friends" even in isolation - Loneliness and isolation are not permanent states if you remain dedicated to your craft - The quality of your work matters more than networking or social positioning - Solitude can be embraced as a productive state rather than purely suffered - Jungian perspective: meaningful connection emerges from individuation and authentic self-expression, not from seeking it directly ## Topic Application - **philosophy**: The post features a philosophical quote from Carl Jung about the nature of authentic work and its power to attract meaningful connection - **psychology**: The quote comes from Carl Jung, addressing psychological themes of isolation, loneliness, and the compensatory power of meaningful work ## Caveats - This is a reshared quote image, not original content from Daily Philosopher - The exact provenance of the Jung quote may vary across different sources ## Related Sources (Idea-to-Idea) - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[Marcus Aurelius on the two worst vices - lack of persistence and self-control]] — Both emphasize self-control and persistence as core virtues. - **[CONTEXTUALIZES]** [[Discipline - Stoic Reflections post featuring Seneca quote man too]] — Both tie scarcity and desire to character and discipline. ## Linkages - [[Concept - Personal Agency]] — Doing your work truly and conscientiously attracts connection; dedication to craft as a form of agency that transcends isolation

Everyone needs food, water, and shelter to survive. But that doesn't give them a right to it. That's because you don't have a right to someone else's labor. Most human needs require money, work, or time from someone else. Look at all the evidence it takes for these blocs to get their basic needs. If you had a right to shelter, that would force this builder to build you a house for free. Eh! Oh, sorry! The only rights you're entitled to don't force others to work for you. Okay, I get that if our basic needs were a right, that would take away other people's freedom, but what about kindness? A big fan of it myself, but that should be a choice. The government forcing someone to be kind isn't kindness. It's coercion. ## Caption / Post Text Watch “Needs, Rights & Flamingo Fights” and more Tuttle Twins episodes on the Angel app! Jared Kooten-Horvath. I'm a former teacher turned cognitive neuroscientist who focuses on human learning. ## Corrected Transcript / Extracted Text protect this man at all costs. Name is Dr. Jared Kooten-Horvath. I'm a former teacher turned cognitive neuroscientist who focuses on human learning. And I do not receive funding nor have I ever from big tech. So a sad fact our generation has to face is this, our kids are less cognitively capable than we were at their age. Every generation has outperformed their parents and that's exactly what we want. We want sharper kids. And the reason for this largely has been school. Each generation spends more time in school. We use school to develop our cognition. Until Gen Z, Gen Z is the first generation of modern history to underperform us on basically every cognitive measure we have. From basic attention to memory, to literacy, to numeracy, to executive functioning, to even general IQ, even though they go to more school than we did. So why? What happened? What happened around 2010 that decoupled schooling from cognitive development? It can't be school. Schools basically look the same. It can't be biology. This hasn't enough time to change. The answer appears to be the tools we are using within schools to drive that learning. Across 80 countries, as Gene was just saying, if you look at the data once, countries adopt digital technology widely in schools, performance goes down significantly. So the point where kids who use computers about five hours per day in school for learning purposes will score over two thirds of a standard deviation less than kids who rarely or never touch tech at school. And that's across 80 countries. Bring it home to the US, let's go to the US. We have our N-A-E-P, that's our big data. Take any state, and here's a fun experiment you can try. Take any state-naped data. Compare that to win that state, adopted one-to-one technology widely, and watch what happens. The Naped data will plateau and then start to drop. And of course, this is all correlative, what we really want is causative, to get causation, what you need is academic research, and you need mechanisms, explanations for why we're seeing what we're seeing. Luckily, we have academic research stretching back to 1962 that shows the exact same story for 60 years. When tech enters education, learning goes down. In fact, because what do kids do on computers? They skin. So rather than determining what do we want our children to do and gearing education towards that, we are redefining education to better suit the tool. That's not progress, that is surrender. So as we go through our discussion today, there's going to be a lot of talk about smartphones and social media, rightly so. But I'm the voice here to remind you that even in schools, it doesn't matter what the size of the screen is. If it's a phone, if it's a laptop, if it's a desktop, and it doesn't matter who bought it. Is it school sanctioned? Does it have the word education stamped on it? It doesn't matter. All of these things are also going to hurt learning, which in turn are going to hurt our kids' cognitive development, right at the time when we need our kids to be sharper than we are. This has to stop. Like this post, follow No Dyson Joy-Mid for No Dyson 45. ## Caption / Post Text *(None)* ## Key Claims - protect this man at all costs. - I'm a former teacher turned cognitive neuroscientist who focuses on human learning. - And I do not receive funding nor have I ever from big tech. - So a sad fact our generation has to face is this, our kids are less cognitively capable than we were at their age. - Every generation has outperformed their parents and that's exactly what we want. ## Topic Application - **ai**: AI/tech - **local**: Barbados/Caribbean ## Caveats ## Related Sources (Idea-to-Idea) - **[COMPLEMENTS]** [[Relationships - know what's interesting every time talk respect between]] — dxtpklsjf4o says digital technology in schools is decoupling schooling from cognitive development, making kids less cognitively capable; 20cd33bc5c0f says a culture of obedience mistaken for respec

The trend is especially appealing to affluent individuals over 60 with established homes and social circles, and is gaining recognition as a legitimate alternative to conventional cohabitation. ## Corrected Transcript / Extracted Text *(News-graphic image post — no audio transcript)* ## Caption / Post Text An increasing number of couples are choosing to maintain separate residences, a lifestyle known as "living apart together", where they sleep in different houses but spend most of their day together. Research suggests roughly 10% of adults across Western nations embrace this arrangement, with motivations ranging from preserving independence to accommodating different work schedules and living preferences. The trend is particularly appealing to affluent individuals over 60 who have established homes and social circles. This arrangement, while sometimes met with skepticism, is gaining recognition as a legitimate alternative to conventional living arrangements, especially among successful professionals and retirees. ## Key Claims - "Living apart together" (LAT) — couples maintain separate residences but spend most of their day together - ~10% of adults across Western nations embrace this arrangement - Motivations: preserving independence, accommodating different work schedules and living preferences - Particularly appealing to affluent individuals over 60 with established homes and social circles - Gaining recognition as a legitimate alternative to conventional cohabitation, especially among successful professionals and retirees ## Topic Application - **mindset**: The post reveals a mindset shift around relationship norms — challenging the assumption that cohabitation is necessary for a healthy partnership, and framing independence as compatible with commitment - **marriage**: Directly about relationship structure and marriage/ partnership dynamics — an alternative model for committed couples - **culture**: Reflects broader cultural trends around redefining conventional living arrangements, especially among affluent demographics ## Framework Connections - [[Concept - Inherited Financial Code]] — the affluent over-60 demographic's preference for LAT reflects established financial independence; they have the resources to maintain separate households, which is itself a financial code / wealth status marker ## Caveats - Vision capture confirmed the headline overlay text and full caption; post is a news-graphic image, not video - The research cited is not linked to a specific study — the "roughly 10%" figure should be verified aga

But you cannot consume yourself into equality. ## Corrected Transcript / Extracted Text in the way that they too wait for the answer. How do you think that we've been misled by leadership, for instance, I think that we can consume our way into equality and seize equality as an equality of materials so if I have the same car as a white person, if I have the same house as a white person, you know, a similar job, then I'm equal. But you cannot consume yourself into equality. You must produce yourself into equality and you move into equality and beyond by productive thinking because as long as you consume in knowledge or you consume in materials, the guy who is giving it to you, or selling it to you is producing at the same time which means that you never catch up with him because he's always two or three steps ahead of you. To get extent, many of our students go into schools, college as well as secondary levels, consuming and their minds are not being developed to produce the true means by which they will accomplish equality. Everything else is sham. Just a proportional note, what I was going to school. And illustrious college in this area, I found many of the European philosophies, concepts, et cetera, to be totally irrelevant to my position in the world. But in my effort to come up with some kind of aphorocentric view that I was stifled. You're one black man who went to a good, essentially, white high school in the city of New York. You obviously had had a good education. That's a good many of the people who work with you here and Nick can say the same thing. And we're saying that you're a black man who came from a New York ghetto. And we're saying that there's a system that allows for one or two black people to get out. And that's the rationale for keeping other black people down. And it has nothing to do with the unwillingness or inability of the Negro to help himself and to work hard. That's... Yeah. In therapy, there's this pithy phrase called, if you spot it, you got it, which is basically the understanding that anything that you can recognize in somebody else that really gets under your skin, especially in a disproportionate way, like look around. Are the other people in the room even seeing what you're seeing, let alone responding as negatively as you are? Probably not in this case. The fact that you see it and you're responding so negatively to that behavior and others is pretty much an acknowledgement that this is a part of yourself that you've either disavowed or rejected and you've now projected it into another person. And it doesn't even have to be the exact vice. It could be a different vice. But you see somebody who's off the family money with gambling and you might be doing it with your car collection or whatever. Oh, I see. Yeah, it doesn't necessarily have to look the same on the surface. That's what I mean. In your example, it was gambling on one hand and inappropriate spending on cars on the other. But in both cases, the underlying behavior is irresponsibility with money. Is that what you're getting? Yeah, that's what I mean. Exactly. This is the importance of shadow work. I think that's what this is normally called. And we understand that these folks who seem to get under our skin or push our buttons are also often our greatest teachers because they are revealing things about ourselves that we have turned sometimes a willful blind eye to. And when I realize that someone is bothering me in that way, to be honest, what I do is I look inside of my own story and I find an example of me doing the same thing or the same thing on a deeper level. Like you just described. And I've been able to find an example from my past every single time I've gone to look. And that's a humbling experience because it really takes the air out of you. You can't be self-righteous anymore once you acknowledge that you might not be any better than the person that you're upset with. Maybe you've gotten better since then. I hope that I've processed that and integrated and learned my lessons on a longer that way. But that could also be part of what's so annoying. Like as an ex-smoker, I hate cigarette smoke. I probably hate cigarette smoke even more than if I'd never been a smoker to begin with. You know what I'm saying? But that's my thing. So once you kind of resolve that, then you have space for more compassion with others. Yes, you might no longer do that behavior anymore, but you did it at one time and that behavior reflected your best understanding at that moment in your life. And it could very well be that this other person is at that stage of their life as well. And so just like that wasn't the end of your story, it's probably not the end of this person's story as well. We all have lessons to learn. We have a long way to go. I think we're all going to get there. I think we're all going to get there together, but it's going to take a very long time. Like there is no hurry, patience. It's going to be a while. So if we can, like breathe in, breathe out, we're in the same boat. We might as well kind of try to make friends with the people that we're stuck with. Yeah. Once I saw that quote that was many years ago, it really just, a bell goes off every time I get upset by something I see in someone. It's like that there's something that I'm doing that's related to this. Not the exact same thing, but there's something related to this that I need to look at. It can go to really dark places. Like I'm in an episode about this that this is functionally the origin of a great deal of the evil on this planet, which is I am going

I've been hustling every day in my life since I was 14. Time and hustle and failure and and getting kicked in the teeth. I know for fact the both of you have looked in the mirror at one point or multiple times. I don't think I can make this. I don't know if this one's going to work out. I over leveraged myself. What if it doesn't happen? I put all my money in this thing. This deal went sideways. Interstates went up. The economy shifted. Like you need all of that to season a man or a woman that can actually handle that level of success. You have to pay your success tax. It's as simple as that. There's no fast pack. I wanted to buy a plane 20 years ago. But I put my head down. I couldn't. It wasn't time. If you're just kind of dabbling and you want the success, let me just say it right to point. It will never find you ever. Success will not come looking for you. You got to keep persisting until you succeed. Doesn't she have an extension of your credit card? And don't you spend all your time fixing her problems? Okay, it's true. I help her with my experience and I give her a comfortable life. I offer her safety and protection. But have you seen how she sings and dances around the house? And how she takes care of the plants? Her heart is full of passion and life. And with every kiss, every hug, she brings joy and lights up my great life. The care and protection I give her, that's nothing compared to the happiness she brings into my life. But what does she give you, Dad? She's giving me her youth, her beauty, her tenderness, her love. Don't call her a gold digger because I'm the one who's getting more out of this relationship. Sure, the example might sound a bit extreme, but the point here is to appreciate those who give intangible things. My dog gives me back so much more than I give him, just with how excited he gets when I walk through the door. And the flowers I water and take care of, they give me their beauty and their scent. Relationships are an exchange. We always thank the people who give tangible things, but sometimes we forget to thank the ones giving the intangible things, and they might be the ones giving the most. ## Caption / Post Text 25 and 50 I regret judging them #sugardaddy yt- mindnoodle ## Key Claims - **Dad, your girlfriend is my age.** - **Don't you realize she's just a gold digger and only wants you for your money? You ask people to have blind faith in you. Someone's got to know like you have the capacity, the desire, the willingness and it's really who you are. It's not a light switch that you turn on and off. It's who you are. So you really even shouldn't be worried about that. I ain't never even worried about that. I don't got to pick and choose how I show up. It's who I am. So the only thing you gon' get in marriage is more of it. That's so much work you got at the wake up in the morning being like, I ain't married yet. So what am I not about to do? Huh? I can't even help being myself. It's who I am. Why would I, I gotta turn me off to try to manipulate you and amaring me? What the hell? Well, see ladies especially, what have you thinking? That's discernment. It's self-sabotage. Men are like, I ain't doin' it. I'm not doin' that. You're not about to withhold, try to get me to give you something. That don't even make sense. You gon' to withhold from me so that I give you something. That only works on people who don't even like themselves. They like you more than they like them. And some of y'all are counting on a sucker who doesn't know that, who doesn't know that he does not have to deal with that, that you withholding shouldn't trigger him to give you more. It should trigger him to go away. That's a man who loves himself. It triggers him to go away. Gah, Lee. See all that mean. Passionate. Passionate. ## Caption / Post Text Two issues with withholding for women: - Big difference between Discernment and Defense. Many women who have been in ‘unfavorable and unsuitable’ situations with men in the past now want to guard against repeating those errors. It’s great and necessary to guard your heart, but too many take this toooo far. When you’re developing a relationship, it requires you to open. To serve, sacrifice, share. When you’re not willing to do that because you’re afraid of being taken advantage of (or ‘wasting your time’) you sabotage yourself and the relationship. The relationship can’t thrive when you’re suffocating it by withholding your heart. As a woman, your heart is like blood and oxygen to the relationship. It requires you to give this part of you to live. With a healthy man who actually wants YOU, you don’t die for this, you grow and so does he. - If you already had kids with a man, you’ve already done the absolute most. Literally. Although we all know you can set whatever ‘boundaries’ you want now (usually involving you withholding something you gave more freely before), the reality is it is very difficult for a new man to accept your limitations when the last man clearly wasn’t limited in the same way. A man who knows his worth (and knows he’s even MORE valuable to a single parent) is not willing to jump through hoops for you when the other guy just got a clear walkway to you. Some guys won’t be so tough on this, but it’s probably not the kind of guy you REALLY want (unless he already has kids himself and is specifically looking for that). I know there are people are seriously going after single mothers to solely put you down, that’s true and that’s sad. But everything is not an attack. Pointing this out is to help you get real about the situation so you can navigate it better and can work with these perceptions rather than trying to fight against it. Women who need help with navigating this, let’s talk about it 1-on-1 👉🏾 link in bio • • • • • • #emotionalintelligence #moderndating #boundaries #standards #datingadvice #singlemom #marriage ## Key Claims - and don't do wife husband stuff before you become a wife husband.

Originally this is made with chicken wings but wings are like 6 times the price of thighs so my broadcast went with thighs. Yo, I'm telling you when you open the donabalid, the smell is insane. The chicken is juicy, tender, the rice texture and seasoning is absolutely perfect. I think I could literally eat this 3-4 times a week for the rest of my life. So I started off by cleaning my chicken legs, removing them from the back bones, separating the legs from the thighs and removed the bones from the thighs and cut them into smaller pieces. With chicken dashi, I tossed the bones and legs with salt and set that aside for a bit before rinsing and getting rid of any blood. Throw them in a pot with green onions, ginger and water, bring it up to a boil and skim off any fat and impurities from the top, then I let that simmer for about 2 hours. To make the marinade for the chicken, I combine sake, soy sauce, raw brown sugar and grated garlic. Mix until the sugar dissolves and add in the chicken thighs to the marinade. Once the chicken dashi is done, I strain the broth, kept the legs to keep the roe the bones and cooled down the dashi. After 3 hours, I pulled out the chicken thighs and set aside the leftover marinade. Rinse my rice until the water ran clear and let the excess water drain. I combine the dashi with the leftover marinade to use as the cooking liquid for the rice. In the donabe, I add the clean rice, chicken dashi mixture and let that soak for 20 minutes. And while that soaking away, I thinly slice ginger and green onions. I always rinse my green onions, it takes away a lot of the harshness and it gets rid of some of that slimyness that green onions can sometimes have. Now to the rice, I top with the sliced ginger, sprinkle togarashi and place the marinade chicken thighs. Top with the first lid and then the second lid, making sure that the holes are perpendicular to each other, place the donabe over medium high heat and let that go for 11 to 13 minutes until the steam begins to rise. And again, if the steam rises in less than 10 minutes, your heat is too high and if it takes longer than 15 minutes, your heat is too low. Once the steam begins to rise, cook for 2 more minutes before you remove from the heat, and let it sit for 20 minutes. This will finish steaming and cooking during this time. Once it's time to eat, I sprinkled lots of sliced green onions, togarashi and drizzled sesame oil before removing the chicken thighs so I could give the rice a good fluffing and mixing. Serve it with some pickled ginger and we ate the whole thing in one sitting. ## Caption / Post Text *(None)* ## Key Claims - **This is how you make very juicy chicken thigh rice.** - **Originally this is made with chicken wings but wings are like 6 times the price of thighs so my broadcast went with thighs.** - **Yo, I'm telling you when you open the donabalid, the smell is insane.** - **The chicken is juicy, tender, the rice texture and seasoning is absolutely perfect.** - **I think I could literally eat this 3-4 times a week for the rest of my life.** ## Topic Application - **ai**: AI/tech - **local**: Barbados/Caribbean - **culture**: Culture ## Caveats ## Related Sources (Idea-to-Idea) ## Linkages

She describes needing a partner who can dominate her, because she knows herself well enough to recognize she will "try and get away with murder" without that boundary. The clip illuminates a candid, mid-century perspective on power dynamics in romantic relationships and the desire for a partner who provides containment. ## Corrected Transcript / Extracted Text I used to try sometimes to do niprithing, try my math. The absolute best Chinese takeout fried rice comes from St. Louis. And no, it does not have peas and carrots. That bright vegetable, heavy fried rice, that's a West Coast thing. St. Louis fried rice is darker, it's smokier, it's more restrained. And it's one that's built on technique, not garnish. We start with day-old, long-grain white rice. Cold rice, it matters because moisture is the enemy of proper frying. Fresh rice stains, well, cold rice. Right. Now for protein, it's chicken, shrimp, or both. Cook it fast and get it out the way. Now, each protein is cooked separately because overcrowding kills the heat and heat is everything here. Now, by the flavor bases, and this is where St. Louis really separates itself. There's absolutely no oyster sauce and no sweetness from oyster sauce. Instead, the backbone is dark soy sauce for color and regular soy sauce for salt. And, shall sheen wine, it's that unpronounceable Chinese cooking wine. It adds depth, savouriness, and that unmistakable take-out aroma. A little more oil than the onions go in next. And be sure to mince them fine so that they disappear. This is it, no garlic, no other vegetables. Now, if you're using eggs, they get scrambled directly into the pan. Then the rice goes in and it sits. This pauls, it matters. Contact equals toast and toast equals flavor. Now, the sauce goes around the edge of the pan. We don't just dump it on. It's very simple. Liquid needs heat to evaporate and evaporation is what needs flavor behind. Just a few steps left and they're simple. Chicken and shrimp go back in and so do bean sprouts. It's white pepper, not black. And yes, the MSG is necessary. And if you want, a little whisper of toasted sesame oil once the heat goes on. The result is a dark, savoury, and slightly greasy fried rice. And usually it tastes better in a cardboard box than on a plate. That's not an accident. That's St. Louis style and it deserves some respect. Now, the four recipes you can get it at weeknighttable.com. Val your heads so that we can say grace, grace. ## Caption / Post Text *(None)* ## Key Claims - If you're from Chicago, like me, then you already know this uncomfortable truth. - The absolute best Chinese takeout fried rice comes from St. - And no, it does not have peas and carrots. - That bright vegetable, heavy fried rice, that's a West Coast thing. - Louis fried rice is darker, it's smokier, it's more restrained. ## Topic Application - **ai**: AI/tech - **local**: Barbados/Caribbean - **culture**: Culture ## Caveats ## Related Sources (Idea-to-Idea) No genuine idea-to-idea connections found after audit. ## Linkages
